Experiences in Kárášjohka/Karasjok
|

In Karasjok you can experience the thriving Sami culture in the cultural park, Sápmi Park, and in the town itself. You can explore a museum, souvenir store, and knife and silver workshops.
Pay a visit to a reindeer camp where a Sami family keeps their animals; take a ride on a dog sledge while enjoying the wild nature of Karasjok.

Booking/ Cancellation

Activities can be booked at the Tourist information in Sápmi Park or at Sápmi KS at least one day in advance by 14:00. Bookings for Saturday and Sunday must be made before 12:00 on Friday.
-We cannot guarantee a sighting of the midnight sun or Northern light- this relies on weather conditions.
-Activities have to be cancelled within 14:00 the day before (activities on sat, sun must cancelled no later than Friday 12:00), otherwise you will be charge 100%. If the participant does not show up at departure, or is prevented to take part in the program, due to missing tickets, driver license or other documents, the organizer will charge full price payment for the activity.
-The organizers have the right to cancel all excursions in the event of adverse weather or driving conditions. Excursion will be cancelled if the temperature is below -30 degrees C. When temperature between - 25°C and -30°C, the outdoor activities will be shortened or cancelled according to the weather conditions.
-Payment for the activities has to be done no later than before starting.
- NB! Not all activities have the same minimum number of persons. Check the information for actual activity. Check also the operating period and days for each activity. |
