We invite guests to visit our camp, where they can meet our reindeer, drive a sledge behind a reindeer and spend the night in a lavvu (Sami tent). Guests gain an insight into Sami cooking and learn to cook their very own meal. Events range from 3-4 hours with light meal or an overnight stay. The camp is located on the banks of the Nattvann lake on the Karasjok mountain, close by the E6 highway and a legitimate snowmobile trail. Other requests are welcomed.

Ecological dog- sledge driving from october to the start of May! Join us on a dog- sledge safari in the land of the elk and reindeer, on our handmade sledges. Spend the night as the Sami do in our comfortable yet simple lavvu hotels, or in your own igloo. We provide you with good, warm Polar sleeping bags, and you can warm up in our wood. burning sauna and hot tub. Delight in ethnic satorytelling from ancient times, and gain an insight into the Sami cultural hertiage. Sample pur ecological food, with local character.

Pay a visit to a Sami reindeer camp where you get a close up experience of Sami culture. Guests can drive a sledge behind reindeer and learn how to throw a lasso. High quality presentation of Sami culture and history. Coffee or broth served in our lavvu (Sami tent). Guests can also order a Sami lunch.

Karasjok Påskefestivak

The Easter festival is one of the biggest events in Sápmi. Most of the Sami people celebrate the Easter by going to Karasjok on the festival. During the Easter people are getting married and confirmated. Before the Easter arrives the Samis are preparing by making new gáktis (the Sami dress), polish the silver and cooking food. You can say that the Samis New Year is during the Easter, you have the year before Easter and the year after Easter.

During the Easter you have the festival, and under the Karasjok Festival a lot of difference activities are arrange, for example the Karacross (stadium

cross- snowmobile racing), Karasjokrennet (cross country skiing race), concerts with both Sami and Norwegian artists, art exhibitions, reindeer racing- sprint, Lassoing- for professionals and non- professional and much more.
