After the performance, you can walk around the Sami camp where it is possibility to be acquainted with the Sami way of living – see reindeers, Sami handy craft and settlements.

We can offer difference experience in siida (sami camp), one thing they have in comment is reindeer driving and that they want to learn you more about the samis and let you feel how it is to be a sami.

At Kirsten Berit Siida you can take part in traditional sami activities, You can practice throwing lasso, driving with reindeer and get entertained with joik and stories while enjoying a cup of coffee by the fire in the lavvu. Sami lunch available for purchase if order in advance. The siida (camp) is 3 km outside Karasjok centre. (Minimum 5 pers)

At Eira Siida you get invited to visit their reindeer heard, try reindeer driving and spend sometime in a lavvu. Guests gain an insight into Sami cooking and learn to cook their very own meal. Events range from 3-4 hours with light meal. The camp is located on the banks of the Nattvann lake on the Karasjok mountain, close by the E6 highway and a legitimate snowmobile trail. (minimum 5 pers)

The tour is starting when the darkness have come, we walk against Oàlgevarre, walking distance about 25 minutes. Upon arrival, we are sitting around the fire place on reindeer skin, making fire and boiling coffee and hunting for the northern light. If  we have good luck, we could experience a very strong and clear aurora, which would give you memories for life.
