The Sami Parliament

| The Norwegian Sami parliament is an elected institution of the Sami people with its seat in Karasjok. The new parliament building was officially opened in the autumn of 2000. Its unique architectural style alone makes this attraction worth visiting. Daily guided tours inside the parliament building are offered during the summer months. |

Karasjok Old Church

| This is Finnmark’s oldest wooden church from 1807. It was the only building standing in Karasjok after World War II. The church has been chosen as one of Karasjok’s millennium sites. |

The Sami Collections is a museum of the Sami culture. The museum’s exhibitions and collections present the Sami culture from a Sami perspective. Moreover, the museum has an outdoor exposition of old Sami dwellings.

Knife maker Strømeng

| This is a family company manufacturing traditional Sami knives. According to the family tradition that goes five generations back all knives are hand-made. Knife maker Strømeng welcomes both groups and individuals to take a guided tour. |
